Is your project almost complete? Prepare to get paid
To receive your incentives from the Energy Savings for Business (ESB) program, participants will need to submit a Post-Project Application through the program portal. ESB have already approved over 35 projects worth $365,000 in incentives.
To support the Post-Project Application approval process, ESB recommends reviewing last month’s short webinar on the process. Be sure to also join us on Tuesday, July 6 for a webinar on how to register to receive your payments once your application is approved.
For more information on your Post-Project Application, please see the Post-Project Application Instructions.
Need to make a change to your project? Don’t miss this important step.
Change Requests must be submitted and receive approval before starting a Post-Project Application as Change Requests will be disabled when you begin your application.
A Change Request will be required if:
- The project timeline has been extended. The program can grant up to a total of 12 months as long as the project is completed before June 30, 2022
- The incentive amount is more than 110% of the pre-approved incentive amount
- New measures are added to the project
- There are changes to specific measure details
- There is a change in contractors. This step can also be done during the Post-Project Application or removed from the Pre-Project Application
During the pre-project application stage, ESB also recommends double-checking that the information submitted is accurate and the documents submitted are the correct ones. ESB has seen higher application processing times because of incorrect information and documents. Double-checking your application will reduce the chances of receiving an information request, speed up turnaround times, and ensure a smooth and quick Post-Project Application process.
For further guidance, please refer to our Change Request Instructions, or get in touch with ESB Contact Centre by email (support@esbprogram.ca), phone (toll-free: 844-407-0025), or chat (online at eralberta.ca/energy-savings-for-business). You can also watch the webinar for more information.
