Reminder – Virtual HRAI Advocacy Day at Queen’s Park: Member Involvement Needed!

January 21, 2021

HRAI has scheduled its third Advocacy Day at Queen’s Park on February 2, 2021.  All meetings will be in the virtual Zoom environment.  We are working to arrange as many meetings as possible with a variety of provincial Cabinet Ministers, their Parliamentary Assistants, Opposition Critics, the Party Leaders as well as key staff.

The main goals of our Advocacy Day are:

  • To build general awareness and understanding of HRAI and the HVACR sector; and
  • To communicate on key policy issues of concern to members.

While HRAI staff are in regular contact with government representatives (Ministers, MPPs, Ministry staff), for this event, HRAI needs members to be involved.  This is an opportunity for members to engage directly with elected officials, to show the real face of the industry and to communicate on the issues that matter to you.

If you would like to participate in this process, please let us know.  HRAI will provide the needed support to make these meetings effective, but it is very important for elected officials to hear directly from business owners and industry participants who live in their ridings.

Information regarding the key issues will be provided in advance and an HRAI staff-person (either Sandy MacLeod, Martin Luymes or Dorothy McCabe) will participate in all the meetings as well.

Representation from across the province and from our contractors, wholesalers and manufacturers divisions as well as instructors is welcome and needed.

Thank you in advance.  HRAI values your input!
