I can honestly say I have never been hit in the face by an all-dressed chip from 15 feet away before but as they say, there really is a first time for everything. It was great to connect with MCAS members at the south golf tournament in Deer Valley. Though the weather was great for the most part, those of you who visited us at our hole can attest we were in our own little tornado alley. There was never a dull moment at the tournament so, as always, we’re already looking forward to the next one.
I am proud to say that Wiegers Financial & Benefits’ charity arm, Care for Kids by Wiegers Inc., had an unbelievable and highly successful obSEUSSed comedy and cabaret this past weekend, raising more than $600,000 for Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. Thank you to everyone who helped us make a difference!
With school back in full swing, remember that many post-secondary institutions offer benefit programs for their students. Many of them allow those benefits to be waived, giving you a tuition refund, provided you can prove coverage through a parent’s plan. Reach out to your insurance carrier for more information.
In a similar vein, students can remain on your MCAS benefits plan until they are 25, provided they are attending a full time post-secondary institution. If they were removed incorrectly, please reach out to Saskatchewan Blue Cross @1-800-USE-BLUE.
