As the province continues its path forward through COVID-19, the Government of Ontario is expanding the Enhanced Agri-food Workplace Protection Program to help more agri-food businesses guard against the spread of COVID-19 in agri-food workplaces so that worker/employee health and safety is protected, and the sector is supported.
As of November 17, 2021, the guidelines for this program have been updated, including the deadline to submit applications, which has now been extended until February 1, 2022, at 11:59 PM. As part of these updates, significant changes have been made under both funding categories for this program to expand eligibility to include more applicants, increase the amount for cost-share funding under the Workplace COVID-19 Prevention category and expand eligible expenses under the Responsive COVID-19 Outbreak Management Category.
