About Us
On February 12, 1919, a group of gentlemen came together to form the Saskatchewan Society of Heating and Sanitary Engineers. They realized that together they were stronger, and their combined voices could effect positive change for their business, their employees, and their industry.
One hundred plus years later, with a couple name changes, this fundamental group has evolved to become the Mechanical Contractors Association of Saskatchewan. Today MCAS encompasses Contractor Members, Affiliate Members, Professional Members and Trade Partner Members.
MCAS Contractor Members consist of businesses in the Plumbing, Heating, Refrigeration, Steam/Pipe Fitting and Sheet Metal trades.
Our Affiliate members include the wholesalers, distributors, and manufacturers that provide products and services to our contractor members across Saskatchewan.
Professional members are companies from the design community, who provide specific services to our Contractor Members.
The Trade Partners at MCAS include industry specific service providers, such as the technical and subtrade companies that support and are associated with the mechanical contractors.
MCAS Contractor members are automatically members of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCA Canada). The largest trade contractor association in the country. MCA Canada represents more than 1,000 contractors of all sizes, sustaining the interest of their members through business support, educational resources, and industry advocacy.
They offer industry-leading education programs, an ever-expanding catalog of business tools, national discount programs, industry publications and conferences to keep the membership informed of the latest industry news and innovations.
MCAS is governed by a Board of Directors with representation from across the province.

The Executive Director – Carolyn Bagnell is responsible for conducting the Board of Directors mandate with the assistance from the Executive Assistant – Cora-Lee Seidl and the Membership Services Coordinator – Roma Green. They are available to answer your questions, assist you, or just chat Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. You can find our location in Saskatoon at 2412 Faithfull Avenue. (Faithfull Avenue and 46th Street East – 2nd floor of the Gordon Food Services building).
