Spring is here and so is our line up of courses.

On April 19th, 2022, we are debuting the Gas and Plumbing Technologies Review course. Gas and Plumbing Inspectors from the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan will be presenting to MCAS members an interactive program that will review the National Plumbing Code, key technical areas of the B.149.1, Saskatchewan Codes of Practice and much more.  
 
Registration is for members only and can be found at Training Course and Information .Note that there is no cost for this session.
 
Our next virtual Lunch & Learn course will be presented by Aquifer Group of Companies on April 20th, 2022, at 1:30 p.m.  They will be highlighting a new product for water UV sterilization using LED technologies. Register for this 1-hr session at Affiliate Training
 
In Regina, on April 26th & 27th, 2022 we will be holding an Hydronics course lead by instructor Jerry Boulanger hosted at the University of Regina. On day 1 students will learn advantages of hydronic systems, boilers, venting and combustion, air pumps, air control, expansion tanks, valves, emitters, controls, and balancing. A working hydronics board and computer software will be used to visually demonstrate many of the principles presented.  
 
On day 2 students focus on Hydronic System Design – defining requirements, piping layout, selecting equipment, pipe/pump sizing, operating temperatures, control strategies.  The group will design a system from scratch and receive Excel spreadsheet programs to do routine calculations for hydronic system design/analysis.  
 
We are set up at 3903 Wįbazuką Road in the College West Building Room 113. Registration can be found at Training Course and Information with lunch being provided.  We will need to notify Parking services so they can provide a location for anyone attending, so please make sure to indicate on the registration form that you will need parking. Parking on campus for attendees is at a cost of $16 / day and payable on site.
 
Special training opportunity for MCA Canada members! MCA America began offering a Pre – PM course that is offered virtually.  There is another course launching in May and they are holding 80 seats for MCA Canada members who wish to send employees.   All course information and registration are on the MCA Canada website.  Registration closes on April 11th.  The student registers through the website and will be directly contacted by MCAA for payment.
