As we start the new year, I’m filled with pride and excitement as I reflect on the incredible accomplishments of the past months. From record-breaking attendance at our annual conference to the launch of a new RFP-related educational seminar and the pilot of Introduction to Public Procurement on OPBA’s innovative learning platform, the Board has worked tirelessly to advance our mission.
These achievements are a testament not only to the Board’s hard work and dedication but also to the collective efforts of our vibrant membership. Your engagement and support have been pivotal in turning these initiatives into reality.
The year ahead holds tremendous promise, and I am confident that, with our shared commitment and collaboration, we will continue to reach new milestones. Here’s a glimpse of what’s to come in 2025:
- Launch of OPBA’s Mentoring Program – Connecting members to foster professional growth within the procurement community.
- Fall 2025 Introduction of the Public Procurement Learning Lab – Our new learning management system, designed to enhance professional development through meaningful, engaging learning experiences.
- Revival of People Leaders’ Meetings (formerly Managers’ Meetings) – Offering a platform for networking and knowledge-sharing among procurement leaders.
- Pilot of an In-Person Principles Learning Week in Alberta – A week-long immersive training experience.
