As the OPBA Past Chair, it is my honour to lead our association’s Nominations Committee, comprised of Tony Cetra, Eric Stockmann, and me. It is the responsibility of our committee to collect and put forward a slate of nominations for volunteers to stand for Director positions on the OPBA Board.
Members are advised that, as of this time, each incumbent Director has expressed interest in continuing with their role and responsibilities however, in an effort to exercise transparency and democracy, the Nominations Committee is opening the opportunity for all members to come forward to volunteer and serve on the Board.
Therefore, this notice will hereby serve as formal notice to the membership that the call for nominations to the 2024-2025 OPBA Board is now open.
Anyone interested in participating on this dynamic group of volunteers is encouraged to review the Board Director Role Description for a glimpse into the responsibilities and requirements of being an OPBA Director. Additionally, members can view the list of current OPBA Committees and Sub-Committees on the OPBA’s website for more information.
Nomination forms for OPBA Director positions must be submitted using the attached form and forwarded directly to Tina Iacoe. Nominations will be collected until 11:59 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2024. All nominations will be reviewed by the Nominations Committee whereby the Committee will select the best candidates to determine the proposed Slate of Candidates. The Slate of Candidates will be presented at the OPBA Annual Meeting to be held on June 20, 2024 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm.
