Applications are now open for the OPBA–Canoe Scholarship, offering $20,000 in funding to support public procurement professionals across Canada.
Delivered through the Public Procurement Learning Lab (PPLL), OPBA’s national learning hub, this scholarship is funded by Canoe Procurement Group of Canada and supports practical, career-focused learning.

Scholarship Categories
Applicants may apply for one (1) of the following:
Professional Development Scholarship – $250
Supports OPBA Ignite sessions, Coffee with Counsel webinars, Leadership Day, and other Pro-D opportunities.
Education Scholarship – $1,000
Supports Principles Certificate Program courses, Public Procurement Specialty (PPS) courses, NIGP courses offered through PPLL, the OPBA Annual Conference, and other education opportunities.
Note: Examples are not exhaustive. Funds may be applied to other eligible OPBA/PPLL learning activities.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be currently employed in a public procurement role in Canada
- Submit one (1) complete application
- Commit to using the scholarship between July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027
- Use the scholarship for OPBA/PPLL learning only
